The Lifesaving Society is composed of thousands of dedicated volunteers. Annually, we recognize outstanding individuals with Commonwealth Honour Awards.
Commonwealth Honour Awards are the highest volunteer awards of the Commonwealth Society and recognize leadership and dedicated service to the Lifesaving Society.
Certificate of Thanks - This certificate is awarded to volunteers who have given at least two years of service to the society or who have made an outstanding contribution.
Service Medal - This is presented to volunteers who have given at least four years of service to the society.
Bar to the Service Medal - This is for an additional four years of service to the Society on top of the four years to earn the service medal.
Service Cross - This award is presented to volunteers with twelve years of service to the society as an instructor, examiner, board or committee member.
Honorary Life member Award - This award is reserved for members who have given outstanding service to the society as a whole.
